Kim Lamb - Executive Director, Oregon Health Network (OHN)
Oregon Health Network (OHN) is a non-profit organization comprised of healthcare, technology and telecommunications experts gathered together to create the State's first broadband telehealth network. A membership-based organization, OHN will connect and serve all organizations and partner communities (providers, educators, government and business) who are critical to improving the quality, delivery and access of healthcare education for all Oregonians, regardless of location.
To ensure the highest quality of care for all Oregonians through an enhanced telehealth network, education, technological innovation and state-wide collaboration.
Within that mission, we have two primary objectives:
- Build (connect) and support a scalable, cost-effective, high quality broadband infrastructure needed to ensure that all Oregonians have equal access to the best possible health care regardless of their location.
- And upon full realization, interconnect all Oregon hospitals, clinics, public health offices, physicians, mental health, dental and optical clinics, and health education institutions with a level of interactive service delivery and access to resources only imagined in our rural and underserved communities.
Abby Sears - CEO, Oregon Community Health Information Network (OCHIN)
Oregon Community Health Information Network (OCHIN) is one of the nation's cutting edge health information technology (HIT) and service organizations for community based clinics. This has been accomplished thru the collaborative approach to building and sharing a practice management and electronic medical record (EMR) system.
One of OCHIN's key objectives is to maintain a single patient medical record across the collaborative. Inside the collaborative the single patient record reduces the chance of errors and duplicates and improves coordination of care and health outcomes. Outside the collaborative OCHIN is working to provide a seamless record across the larger community including connections to hospitals, labs, imaging centers and more.
