Each year, HIMSS Oregon presents educational conferences designed to promote dialog on critical issues among IT management and their business, clinical, and consumer partners. By attracting healthcare management and professionals from around Oregon and Southwest Washington, these conferences have facilitated shared perspectives and strengthened the common ground that enables us all to excel.

Details:
Elders are the fastest growing demographic of new computer users in the United States. A team of informaticists from OHSU’s Center for Aging and Technology will describe the development of computer-based tools used for elder cognitive assessment. The focus of this project is the development of architecture providing computer-based health interventions for elders in their homes, facilitated by a professional health coach. Current methods of cognitive assessment that are embedded in the computer software will also be addressed.
